2-year US Treasury yield climbs as investors assess interest rate and economic outlook

Treasury yields rose Monday in a shortened trading day, as investors considered the outlook for the U.S. economy and the Federal Reserve’s next monetary policy moves. At 6:30 a.m. ET, the yield on the 10-year Treasury was up by around 2 basis points at 3.847%. The 2-year Treasury yield traded over 6 basis points higher at 4.944%. Yields and prices move in opposite directions. One basis point equals 0.01%. Investors are awaiting a number of economic data points this week, including ISM’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for June on Monday.
