In April 2023 the selling prices in wholesale trade fell by 0.5% compared with April 2022. This was the first decrease compared with the preceding year since December 2020 (-1.2% compared with December 2019). The annual rates of change in March 2023 and in February 2023 had been +2.0% and +8.9%, respectively. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) further reports that, compared with the previous month, wholesale prices decreased by 0.4% in April 2023.
