Euro area international trade in goods deficit €26.5 bn

The first estimate for euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in October 2022 was €252.8 billion, an increase of 18.0% compared with October 2021 (€214.3 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €279.3 bn, a rise of 30.7% compared with October 2021 (€213.7 bn). As a result, the euro area recorded a €26.5 bn deficit in trade in goods with the rest of the world in October 2022, compared with a surplus of €0.6 bn in October 2021.
