In August 2022 the number of both employed and unemployed persons decreased, while a growth was recorded for inactive people. On a monthly basis, the decline of employment (-0.3%, -74 thousand) involved both genders and was widespread in all age groups, with the exception of people aged 15-24 years, for which remained stable. Overall, the employment rate dropped to 60.0% (-0.2 p.p.). In the last month, the drop of unemployed persons (-1.6%, -31 thousand) was recorded for men and people aged under 35.
