In August 2022, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.5% over one month, after +0.3% in July. The prices of manufactured goods rebounded (+1.8% after -1.6%) in particular linked with the end of the summer sales. The prices of food accelerated (+1.7% after +1.0%) due to the rebound of fresh product prices (+2.0% after -1.0%) and the increase in food excluding fresh product prices (+1.6% after +1.4%). The prices of services slowed down (+0.3% after +1.3%) and the decrease in energy prices was more marked than in July (-3.9% after -1.3%).
