Natural Gas Inventory -190 bcf vs -194 bcf Expected

Working gas in storage was 1,911 Bcf as of Friday, February 11, 2022, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decrease of 190 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 404 Bcf less than last year at this time and 251 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,162 Bcf. At 1,911 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range. (full story)

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported on Thursday that domestic natural-gas supplies fell by 190 billion cubic feet for the week ended Feb. 11 to stand at 1.911 trillion cubic feet. That compared with the average weekly decline of 197 billion cubic feet forecast by analysts polled by S&P Global Platts, which pegged the five-year average supply fall for the period at 154 billion cubic feet. Total stocks were down 404 billion cubic feet from a year ago and 251 billion cubic feet below the five-year average, the government said.
