In December 2021, consumer prices increased by 2.8% year on year

Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should rise by 2.8% in December 2021, as in the previous month, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. The prices of manufactured goods and food should accelerate sharply. The prices of tobacco should be stable, as in November, and those of energy and services should slow down. Over one month, consumer prices should rise by 0.2%, after +0.4% in November. The prices of energy should fall back in the wake of those of petroleum products.
