Unemployment fell by 734 people in October, the first decrease this month in 46 years and accumulated eight months of fall

Registered unemployment in the offices of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) has fallen by 734 (-0.02%) people in the month of October, an exceptional figure since it is the first time that unemployment has decreased this month since the year 1975. In this way, unemployment accumulates eight consecutive months of decline, a period of falls of also unprecedented duration. Since February, the number of people registered has dropped by 751,721. To put it in context, in October 2020 unemployment rose by 49,558 people compared to the previous month. In 2019, unemployment in October increased by 97,948 people. ... (full story)
