Trust in central banks is relevant. Especially in turbulent times like the current Covid-19 crisis, it is important yet challenging to maintain trust (Gros and Roth 2009). However, little is known about trust in the ECB during the pandemic. We use a new rich monthly dataset to fill this gap. Central bankers recognise the importance of trust in their institutions.
