In October 2020, employment slightly decreased, while unemployment grew and inactivity dropped. On a monthly basis, the slight decline of employment (-13 thousand) was the result of a growth among women and people aged 25-34 on one side, and of a decrease for men and for other age classes on the other. Overall, the employment rate remained stable at 58.0%. In the last month, the growth of unemployed people (+0.4%, +11 thousand) involved only men (+2.2%, +28 thousand), whereas among women a drop was recorded (-1.5%, -17 thousand).
