Johnson Reiterates Threat to Walk Away From Brexit Trade Talks

Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday reiterated that the U.K. was ready to walk away without a trade deal with the European Union if no agreement could be reached. In a call with his Polish counterpart, Johnson told Mateusz Morawiecki that while he welcomed the agreement by both the U.K. and the EU to intensify negotiations next month, the U.K. was ready to leave on “Australia terms” if an agreement wasn’t reached, according to a statement from the Prime Ministers’ Office.
