If this parameter is left blank, it works as before, i.e. plots a true MACD (MT4's native MACD is wrong) for the current symbol/instrument.
Whereas if you type in a valid symbol ID (e.g. your br0ker's symbol for the S&P500), then will divide the 12 and 26 EMAs by their S&P500 counterparts, exactly as you describe in your MoCS formula. Then it applies the rest of the MACD calculation, as before, to obtain values for the signal line and the histogram.
To turn the crossing arrows off, set ArrowSize to a negative number. This and the other settings are explained in the link above.
