Not sure if this will be of any help to anyone and kind of stating the obvious but this is what I have found to be of the most help of anything I've tried in studying when the markets are closed.
I look for good setups on the H2 historical that worked out and then look at the Daily chart for the same time. Doing this I have found burns a successful image in your mind as to what to look for on the Daily when you see good setups on the H2. Also I look for good setups that failed and then look at the Daily. It is very cool so see that the Daily is always showing why something worked or did not.
I usually sit down and study until I discover something that I didn't know and then close the books. An hour here and there works best and doesn't overload me.
This reminds me of a story of my brother and I. We love to throw a football around any chance that we get. Around 6 years ago we started getting serious about throwing farther and getting some distance. We would throw for hours upon hours until our arms felt they would fall off. We would even bring the ball and toss it around while out on the rink(hockey and football don't mix by the way, that one cost me a broken finger lol). Ridiculous I know. Did we ever throw the ball farther. Nope we did not. However, my brothers son would throw with us from time to time and he kept getting better and better to the point where he was throwing almost as far as a professional quarterback. It wasn't until this year that I started throwing a football hear and there. Well what do you know. My arm started to get stronger and stronger a lot quicker. So I'm also changing the way I study to put in time here and there and not endless hours.
When you start to embrace the paradox and learn with patience, your motives become right and then you also start to fall in love with the way it works. I'm in no hurry anymore. Just enjoying this magnificent journey.
