I've been reading this thread for a while, this is my first post.
Just want to thank everyone for sharing their knowledge.
I've found an indicator whose behavior is very similar to TDI. It's called DiNapoli Stochastic:
As you can see, its crosses happen either on the same candle as the TDI, or even one candle earlier and are quite exact. On the other hand, it's more relaxed and prevents many false entries by ignoring short periods of consolidation or hesitation.
The trading platform I use is cTrader.
