Disliked{quote} Thank you stevox for taking the time to do this test. From my experience and development of many grid EAs, all Grid EAs will loose at some point in time. This is what I highlighted in the earlier pages of this thread. In order for a system to survive and be consistently profitable it must have an edge. I use Grid EAs as tools not systems, so I apply them on specific times and pull them off at other times.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hi Mjma01, Please note that when using MAs, the EA will become Time Frame Dependent. The same applies to any other indicator that uses time frame as one of its inputs (e.g. RSI, MACD, ADX .... etc). Thanks, KhalilIgnored
Disliked{quote} Zigler, In this EA from Voldemar i see an option to trade trend, i haven't tried it, but my guess is that this does what you are looking for. {file}Ignored
Disliked@ mjmla01 I'm running your ea (APG_04_A2) with default setting for the MA and MA Tunnel. I only modified the grid...hardcore mode. I want to know how it works when things goes wrong haha. So i put it on 2 chart, E/U and A/U with grid size: 10 and 30 (1 and 3 pips on my platform). Seems to be working. I will check the DD but i think your solution is really a good way to stay out of massive floating loss... I will update... Thank you !Ignored
DislikedI'm finding difficult to analyse the forward tests without a equity indicator and I'm not managing to find one that works properly: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...65#post8849865 {image} Do you have a good one or can you put this one working (in )? {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes indid! But in this case is not dependent, the way is done is just an idea if strong trends are happening or not, to avoid even bigger DD. Have been testing with and withou this MA Tunnel, and the results are good till now, Thanks Khalil, MarioIgnored
Disliked{quote} Hi, do you mean the MA settings inside are not active? (Is it just an idea ?) Or can we enable or disable them manually inside from parameters...? If so, how to do this?Ignored

DislikedSo far I have noticed that applying only part 1 is more profitable than using part 2. Although I think that part 2 has huge potential. I think that the way forward with this may be to enter buys when the market moves up and sells as the market moved down. If no sell positions open, TP at x amount of grid levels so that we can take some profit in trends. The real genius in this method is when retracement happens and winning retracers take the bottom loser. It is all about keeping the grid open trades to a minimum width which this already does. It...Ignored
