Disliked{quote} Good question... Because they get the satisfaction, and income, from providing value to others. Only in the FX world is the concept of having multiple streams of revenue considered the ultimate sin. Unless your life revolves around profits from trading, and trading alone, then you are a snake-oil salesman with nothing to offer the world and anything you do offer is surely a scam. FX traders are expected and required to stare at their charts all day and do nothing else that could ever generate money. Pro traders have extended periods of time...Ignored
DislikedHere's a question...Why would someone read a question knowing the person needs help, and ignore them? Why can't people help other people? Why do people always feel like they need to benefit from others? Why can't people just do things for other people out of the kindness of their heart? I guess that was more than 1 question. People now day are just way to greedy. Ignored
Disliked{quote} No, people are way too lazy, in mind and in action. Your post is essentially saying "Why can't I have something for nothing?" Well, the answer is simple. What you want has far more value than the "nothing" you are offering as payment. If someone is feeling generous they may choose to throw you a bone, but the rest of the time their hard work is theirs alone and they earned it. Who are you to expect hand-outs? What have you done to deserve any? What value do you bring to the party? That's another FX trope: Everyone expects the hard work of...Ignored
DislikedBack when I started learning about forex, I was clueless. When I opened a demo account it took me forever to even know how to open a trade. I knew nothing about forex or even what a trend was on any market. That is something I didn't learn in school. My cousin was a day trader and my mom was telling me about it and how that was his source of income. That is what intrigued me. So, I did a search on google about day trading and came across forex. Once I looked into it a little bit I knew it was something I should pursue. I had 1,000 questions. I spent...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Now that I agree with. If a person can go and spend the time researching on their own they shouldn't expect a hand out. They need to put in an effort to learn certain things first before asking questions. But, when it comes to helping people, the ones that haven't put in the work needed to be "weeded" out. When I get a PM, its pretty obvious who hasn't done any research and is looking for a "free ride" but on the other hand, I can also see who has put in many many hours but is still confused. I don't help the ignorant.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yeah, take that attitude to a developer building mansions. "Hey, man. I see you are building some wonderful homes and have put a tonne of time, money, and effort into all of this. Could you be a bro and just give me a house?" No. Just because people took pity on you doesn't mean you were owed anything, earned anything, or should feel entitled to anything. The amount of TRUE work you have to put into becoming successful costs far more than the time those random people spent throwing you a few tips or whatever. If you were smart you would...Ignored
Disliked{quote} You have to ask yourself if the help you are giving has actual value. If the cost of your time is worth the price of feeling good from giving someone some tips or whatever then so be it. But, if you want someone who knows what they are doing, has put years of work into something, and can guide you for months if not years, then that's going to cost you no matter what. Their time is more valuable than the good feelings they may get from mentoring someone, and in fact being a mentor may be costing them in more ways than just time. Some things...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So are you here to learn or teach? Almost sounds like you are trying to teach me. Just so you know...my cousin died 5 yrs ago.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Well that's pretty fucking shit then. Sorry to hear it. It's been many years since I've learned anything from this forum, or any other. That's not to be elitist, it's just that there's so very little of value to actually learn from places like this. Occasionally some tangential topic will be brought up that I find interest in and is something new to learn about, so yeah, that happens sometimes. Trading forums can go off on weird and wonderful tangents, but not often enough. In regards to trading, though, there is nothing at all to learn...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Word...I hear ya when you say its been many years since I learned anything. I have my style of trading and when I read other stuff it just makes me get "off track" from what I want to do. But there are times, like now, that I am bored and am on here. You're probably right for me too. It is a time waster. What you said earlier will make me think. I want to help but I definitely don't deserve to be used.Ignored
DislikedHave you looked in the commercial area? I know there are a couple of guys there that advertise and accept students.Ignored
