Hi, just spent the whole day figuring out and testing why no EA trades is taken on my laptop.
I have done an upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and choosed to delete files/programs and so on. So a pretty fresh install. Good specs on the laptoop also.
I installed four different MT4 accounts, all is connected to the broker and manual trades is ok. But no trades from my EA is firing off on any of the four MT4s.
I have tried to run as administrator, checked all logfiles/journals. No signs of any errors and no attempts to do any trades from my EA. If there only was any clues in the logfiles, but there is not.
I have the same EA on my desktop also, same settings, very active today.
For test I installed another MT4 on my desktop, same as on my laptop. And on the desktop trades are taken from the EA. I have no idea what more to look for.
I only have Windows Firewall. Tried to disable it did not make any difference. And the smiley face is ok :-)
I remember i run ccleaner before my MT4 install. Even on the registry and let it fix what it found. Could anything have happened there?
I am not a newbie in installing MT4s, have done probably hundreds without problems.
(sorry for my bad English)
