DislikedThat'c cool...you're a chef. We really like French chefs and cuisine here, it's the best. I just wash dishes Man...lol ! But food is my hobby.Ignored
Bottom line is, it helps me a lot picking up chicks, haven't seen one who doesn't find it sexy when a guy can cook
DislikedRight...the Swissy sure has dropped. Thanks for the feedback on Swiss fundamentals...I love that stuff, well, I like learning about it. I just soak it up as it comes and slowly build knowledge on it.Ignored
DislikedHave you held onto your EJ short?...I hope so, nice trade. I saw it moving higher, too...but it looks like Yen strength has dominated.Ignored
In hindsight early entry, but only visible on the h4, which I do not really trade, not that I don't want to, but I did have a month trading the h4 and it just burnt me out to monitor the stuff on my phone at work, which I cannot afford to do. I actually wonder how come we are allowed to use phones, but at the same time are classified "sensitive". Anyway, let's see.
DislikedI'm sure you will be ok by the time you are ready to go live. I hope I made sense in my last post about your trading plan, discretion, and emotion? Have you seen any of Sam Seiden's webinars on fxstreet.com. He is a very mechanical trader, I will send you a link if you want.Ignored
Concerning Seiden, I woulodn't mind having a look into what he has to offer, but please send it as a PM. I remember Keyser not wanting this thread to degenerate into a Seiden-worshipping thread, so I would be glad if you could send it as a PM.
DislikedAlso, other than Keiser's thread here there are two other traders that I look up to quite a bit here on FF. The 60MinuteMan and Davit. You probably have your own guys that you follow...but, they are both really knowledgeable. Davit used to trade trade with limit orders (he still may) and 'build big positions.' And the 60minuteman...who is totally cool, is a genius...most of my psychology and mindset has come from him...it's certainly take time to sink in. I just read though his threads and other stuff he's put online and integrate it into my thinking...he's...Ignored
Funnily I was never picky about my trades, but since I started my own thread 2 months ago (don't post much there any more), I became pickier. Especially since I set up the trade explorer at FF and at myfxbook. It's like I have to prove something to some virtual community. So I really go like "if this is not a prime-setup, I don't take it. Don't want to be a loser". So from overtrading I went to some sort of "under-trading" (does this expression actually exist?^^)
You mentioned something similar if I recall correctly.
But bottom line is, I become pickier and yes, it's sort of true that you make money on stupid trades you refuse to take.
DislikedI do not have fx tester...I just use the metatrader tester...works fine for me. Also F12 will move your MT4 forward by a single pricebar shift-F12 will move it backwards...just in case you did not know that.Ignored
W1:
D1 Setup maybe like this?
DislikedYour GA short looks good. As for your AC missed fill...have you thought to enter within a zone? I mean with multiple orders...like this. There are issues with this though. 1. you compromise your R/R 2. it's more difficult to test 3. will give you ' more ' variable outcomes.' But, I think it's worth looking at...perhaps you use 2 orders instead of three ?...just a thought and not unheard of. I think it's not a 'bad idea'...because precision entry in Forex is not an easy thing to do, all of the time.Ignored
I have thought of multiple orders for entry, but as you said RRR is compromised and however I turn it, either I get a partial fill of my allocated risk capital to the trade, which means that maybe only two thirds of the order is filled, but then not the last third and so I only get two thirds of the profits. Yes, it's a tough thing with precision in FX, too wide and you compromise RRR and to tight and you pay the price by either not being filled at all or your S/L is hit.
But maybe from time to time (descrtionary view in FX is the real deal, i.e. one needs lots of experience) the partial entry is something I should consider. Good input, thanks.
DislikedSharks and scammers...yes. I am pretty much over it now but I still get a kick outta the market's tricks. Yesterday I was forced to close out a trade with a loss because I had to go wash dishes at my bro's restaurant ( it is not his restaurant but he is the executive chef ) Anyway, I will usually never do this...I will take the win, loss, or BE...no matter how long it takes...I could not set and forget because I was hedged and had to actively monitor the trade...but I had to go. And sure enough, on the very next 5m bar....price moved towards my...Ignored
Btw remeber the GBPUSD long?

Spot on man for the 1.55000
Check it out:
Coulda woulda shoulda... bamm missed a RRR of gross 1:5. Wouldhave paid approx USD 7-10 more for the swap, but still that would have been $490 up instead of $317. Gotta ride these big trades in the future. But damn, it's hard when you have the choice: $320 on the table and you can take it with a mouseclick or you can wait and hope for more.... RRR is a setup thing, but also a mentality thing. Looks all nice on backtesting, but when you watch it run up and down in front of you, boy it's tough.... and we are talking about demo accounts here
DislikedHope you are well bg_sunny...looks like your account percentage is up so that's cool.Ignored
Let me know what you think about that gold trade or maybe share some setup you have, if you like.
Hope you have a good time in spite of the noise and smell and grumpy skin you get from washing all these dishes. All the best to you!
Cheers mate
