Disliked{quote} ...btw, I'm not pretty sure if they worth being displayed since MADdash already display them in a very nice and clear interface... perhaps only to avoid having to switch windows to look at their current state (not everybody has multiple monitor setup). The good thing is ... now I have these numbers at hand to do whatever is needed with them.Ignored
Hi aeseme,
A very big thank you for the marvelous you are doing for this great thread. It is really a pleasure having someone of your skill and capability around to assist us further the course of this thread.
However, I think that Hotpotato's comment in Post 12,239 is somewhat becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy because it is true that "Slowly but surely this thread is drifting away from its original idea about a simple dashboard with gap trading..." Historically, this is the way a lot of threads have followed and the results have not always been anything to write home about.
I know that there are those who want to trade the dashboard with the candle direction and other stuff they are all calling for but who can so far prove that they have successfully used any of these tools and have consistently been as successful as JibalaPasan and her GAP trading strategy? The tastes of the pudding, they say is in the eating what success rate have these indicators shown in their various threads while not taking away their overall merit?
JibalaPasan didn't start her trading career trading the GAP but got introduced to it when MariaLuiza introduced the idea and ever since she has dropped almost everything other trading strategy and have focused majorly on this strategy (at least given what we see from her most recent posts) probably because it has proven to be a highly successful strategy.
Her last post, [here] in the MT4 Trading the GAP With Excel once again highlights this all most important point - the forex market somewhat resolves around points of Support and Resistance which are mostly indicated by Big Round Numbers, Pivot Points and Fibo retracements as these are the most watched by traders and thus they have a somewhat self-fulfilling ability about them.
At least, if for nothing else it would help tremendously if these three components - BRN, Pivots and Fibo can be incorporated into your current dashboard.
For once lets "read between the lines" because I believe that even if JibalaPasan does not share her Excel dashboard, she has graciously given us a lot of hints that if we can implement about 75% of them successfully into the dashboards we have here, then at least we can start moving in the right direction towards her high success rate.
Let's stay focused because it is "either you are consistent or you are non-existent" - beating around the bush will not take us far as a group! Why re-invent the wheels when we can at least emulate a proven and successful GAP Strategy we have before us?
I intended sending this to you initially as a PM but then thought leaving it out here so that others can have their inputs also.
Just me rambling once again...
And once again thanks a million for all the great work.
