DislikedThere seems to be some confusion regarding higher timeframes for confirmation, some people say to make sure price is both below the 10 ema in two higher timeframes before taking a trade on the 15, others say look at the 200 and 800 on bigger timeframes too. So what is the correct way? Id personally like to ask X-Man, Emmanuel, and other experienced traders of this thread.Ignored
I'm not completely sure i have understood your question, but i will offer my insight.
If you are looking at a M15 chart, the 50EMA is the same as a 10 EMA on a H1 chart. Still looking at the same M15 chart, the 200EMA is the same as the 10EMA on an H4 chart. And again, remaining on the same M15 charts, the 800Ema represents the 10EMA on the D1. This is my understanding.
Therefore, if you are trading on M15, ideally, you want to trade away from all the EMA's, which of course are 10EMA on different timeframes.
Hope this has helped, regardless, i would suggest spending a couple of minutes reading the following two links, they are a much better graphical explanation.
