Just read yours and Rufus's post, and then immediately clicked on the link for the test.
Even though I've never taken one of these tests, I knew even before I clicked the link, which personality type the test results would assign to me.
Sure enough, I'm an INTJ.
I can't say that it's particularly served me well in life, being one of these types, because it does often throw you in to conflict with other people, and quite often you feel at odds with the world around you.
Being introverted, opinionated, and being a stickler for detail, aren't in my view very good personality traits to own, but I guess I'm stuck with them to the end!
However, on the flip side, I'm very reliable, resolute, and I never quit, even if I'm taking a beating at something. I'm a perfectionist and I like order around me. This never-give-up attitude means that I will strive endlessly, until I crack something, testing every minutiae detail and permutation, in order to succeed. This can take hours, days, months, or even years, but I always come out on top eventually! These traits often drive those around me insane, and quite often myself too!
These last personality traits, in my opinion, are absolutely essential if you are to succeed in trading. Having seen the above pie chart only after I'd taken the test, it is very surprising how small the % of the population which possesses INTJ type is. Then again, I'm not really surprised at all! Yet, like Kanzler said, I bet the % of traders within the INTJ grouping, is massively skewed and that they take up a much larger % of the trading world than they should/would do in any other place of work??
I wonder how many people reading this, are nodding their heads in silent agreement??
An interesting topic. Thanks Rufus.

DislikedThere was a thread some time ago that brought up personality types. For as rare as it is, INTJ pops up quite a bit on this site. I'm one myself, always score the same thing no matter which test I take.Ignored
