Dislikedhow i personally leverage TZ. to me tz's are related to market inefficiencies (a rapid directional move in price without previous price action close behind it.) its also closely related to s/d. the market has a tendency to fill these inefficiencies especially m tz's or top/bot tz's that have been broken. you can trade toward the source of the inefficient area or you can trade after the inefficiency has been filled or both. this is nothing new as people have been trading inefficiencies long before tz aside from the time factor. also if you are bad...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So basically the key is probability of filling the inefficiency. So the 97% figure, once matched in your settings can give you a crude sentiment in market direction no? If trading towards the inefficiency. Now trading away from the filled inefficiency, I have no idea on how to benefit from it. S/D??? Standard deviation? So my thought is since you have a high probability for filling "problems", you can build a one way grid system around it with a high win rate. like every 10 pips or so away from the "problem" you enter a trade in it's direction...Ignored
Disliked{quote} my stats do not achieve 97% or else i would not have to use a Confluence of price action re: Now trading away from the filled inefficiency one example is if your in a trend and you get a pullback to an inefficiency and it fills there is a good chance that trend will continue. re:S/D what people associate to Supply Demand a grid is fine but for me personally i would only start it after i'm pretty sure of the direction. heres a fun pic of a huge inefficiency i took a while back but keep in mind market characteristic's have changed a bit...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Personally for myself I prefer counter trading past confirmed mtz's, this method makes up a small part of my strategy. Below is a picture I stole (lol) from Lowphat if he doesn't mind {image} I'm glad to see some life being breathed back into Transient discussions! I'll be standing by waiting on FX Jay and others to get the ball rolling on New topics/perspectives (MTZs has been discussed several times already so I don't see a point in talking about it unless someone has a different method of trading it)Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Lowphat! can you pls share some chart in regards to your post above? many thanks. regards fmIgnored
Disliked{quote} look at Rparm's image in post Post 626 the yellow zone that Rparm kindly drew for us shows you the area or "zone" where price has no candles in front or behind it. coincidentally where he drew the red arrow was also a price inefficiency in the making and yes right after price closed the first inefficiency it came down to close the one by the red arrow. during those months though big pockets were closing every gapIgnored
Disliked{quote} So what gives you the signal to enter the first trade towards the inefficiency? The blue arrows?Ignored
DislikedNice to see that the thread isnt dead after all. By the way, Jay, how did it go with your original account you made 1000s% with? Still going strong?Ignored
Disliked{quote} These are my speculations based on how the designer Googletrade here on FF describes the community trend feature in the EA. He has yet to reveal the origin but explains it's based on the live trading activity from multiple sources. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=518257 Form the Matrix grid trader thread... Community Trend Detection will not work in Metatrader Strategy...Ignored
DislikedI do agree with what FX-Jay said though, about not spoon-feeding people, for exactly the reasons he mentioned. The great thing about TZs is that there are many ways to trade them, and finding a way which suits your individual style should be entirely possible. It proves that if you do your homework and work hard, good things will eventually come.Ignored
DislikedI think it's obvious to most people now that TZs are NOT the holy grail, and some of the probabilities mentioned on other threads are misleading to say the least. I firmly believe that you will always need to apply some flexibility and discretion to any system you trade, and different people will get different results even when using the same system. Good luck everyone, and bye for nowIgnored
