Within the last few weeks, I have been contacted by some members of Forex Factory asking me to teach them to trade. Those requests may have been as a result of this post I don't know. Answering a question here or there is no problem, but to set aside time to teach someone in a structured and detailed manner is a different story. I believe that time and effort should be compensated. I have been teaching traders before becoming a member here and have been given some wonderful reviews. So, since my threads have now been moved to this forum by the administrators because of the fact that I offer a service to the Forex Industry (but have not done so here at Forex Factory), I might as well make the best of the situation. I have always tried to work with what comes along in life. Never thought I'd end up here when I started posting but here I am.
So, what is it that I'm offering? I'm offering you the opportunity to learn how to trade and to help you "see" the market. I also try to work with the trader to help them become a trader or improve their trading skills which should lead to better profits. You need both aspects to really succeed: a trading approach and to become a trader. I trade using the Andrews' Pitchfork as my primary tool of analysis, but I also work with the student to incorporate what they may be using now into the trading method we put together.
I taught a gentleman from India who was not a newbie by any means. He knew ALOT, but he was all over the map so to speak. By the time we were finished in seven lessons, he had a step by step trading system. He is doing well. A few others have thanked me over and over for what I showed them. It really bothers me when I see traders still trying to learn after three and four years.
I was very fortunate to be able to learn how to trade with the Pitchfork and I am especially grateful to Tim Morge for his efforts to keep this trading art alive. It was because of an article that he wrote that I decided to study it; and I am SO glad I did. It is said that a tool is only as effective as the person using it. I have taken the time to learn and develop some trading skills that I think would benefit any trader regardless of their level of trading.
Below are the answers to some questions you may have:
1. How does it work? It is all done online. All you need to have to start is a Skype account (preferably your own) and an email address to receive the online conference login details. I usually teach one-on-one, unless a couple requests differently.
2. How long does it take? For real newbies, about 14 lessons, depending on how they grasp the concepts. For others, about 7 lessons.
3. How much does it cost? That would depend on what a trader needs and where they are starting from (and not as much as you might expect). I can be reached by email for that information: [email protected].
4. Will you help me develop a systematic method? Yes. Traders come away with their step by step "trading recipe".
5. What if I don't use the Pitchfork, can I still apply what I do now? In most cases yes. The Pitchfork just makes things even clearer. I try to integrate the traders previous method of analysis into the method we put together if possible.
6. How long is each lesson? Usually about 2 hours. That may vary depending upon how the student progresses.
7. Can I ask questions even after we're done? Yes. I will answer questions on what was covered and even review charts you may have.
I have taught absolute newbies as well who were trading live and on their own within a year...and still are doing so...and making money. I do understand that results may vary, but some of the learning curves I have seen in many cases are uncalled for...mho. It is my firm belief that if they had had a concrete start, with the right support and coaching, things could have been very different. Hopefully, I will be given that opportunity.
Take care,
