DislikedHi Dinesh
Thanks for a wonderful indicator. Which pairs does this indicator work best? Do you use any other oscillator/indicator to support this indicator?
With regards,

DislikedThe channel indicator looks like an offshoot of i-Regr, which is a polynomial regression function. Some folk believe that it's impossible to profit using a repainting indy. I disagree, but I nonetheless believe it's important to keep in mind — if you're performing a 'visual backtest' — that the channel would have plotted differently at the time the historical candles appeared at the right side of the chart. Or conversely, the repainting makes the channel fit itself around price a lot better than it does...Ignored
Disliked.....it doesn't compile. Is this because of the New Build issues or am I missing something.....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes, it would seem that it's due to the new build issues, because when I compile it now, using the build 509 compiler, there are no errors. I've attached the .ex4 file created by the build 509 compile. I haven't tested it, but MetaQuotes assure us that 'old' .ex4s will continue to run correctly on the new builds. {file}Ignored
DislikedHope you don't mind me asking but you did make mention of using this type of indi with MTF Stochs. Do you still do that or do you do something different ?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Rooi, If the poly_degree is set to 1, i-Regr is effectively a linear regression indy (just like the line study that is native to MT4). It could be used as a 3-in-1 signal indy, i.e. the slope of the lines indicates the trend, then you wait for a pullback into the opposite half of the plot, and then a candle or other pattern (S/R, S/D, VSA etc) that suggests that the main trend is resuming. However, keep in mind that the indy repaints, hence you need to use the historical_shift setting to see how it would have plotted X candles ago. A trader...Ignored
