Disliked{quote} Didn't the users always need to know where their installation was located? I would search the system for likely looking "MQL4" directories and give the user a choice. Where the folder path contains an encoded terminal id, display the contents of the origin.txt file to enable the user to identify it.Ignored
That leaves it up to the user to know and I have had to hand hold some users just to get to their MT4 folder.
With the installer they search the usual way and click on the MQ4 folder they want. But these are ex4 so where should they reside to be seen and used? In the virtual folder or ??
And what happens to my install program when I must update again for the build that requires the other folder structure that, apparently, is not used right now.
As I also mentioned the indicator in the MQ4 folder was not the one I needed to send to my client. It was found in the User folder and was hidden. And yes I know how to unhide folders.
I just finished re-compiling everything to a build above 509 and now must do it again. Took almost a week to update everything on my website because of changes to the install programs.
