DislikedHey. How do you scan throught charts using MT4? Do you have all charts opened and then click on tabs below charts? Or is there a quicker way?Ignored
To make a long story short, he informed me that while that tactic might work in demo trading, doing that while trading live (especially while running both live and demo accounts) would eventually cause platform stability problems. He stated that it was just a matter of time before something went wrong, because no computer can process all that streaming data.
I asked him the best way to check my charts once a day. He suggested that I use the Profiles option: File - Profiles - Save As - Enter New Profile Name.
So, I now have three profile folders, named Profile1, Profile2, and Profile3. Each folder has twelve charts (major pairs, secondary pairs, exotics). So now, at any given time, only twelve charts are open on MT4. While you can access each profile folder from the File tab, it is much easier to access them from the bar at the very bottom of the platform.
When you create these profiles, you create them for both your live account and your demo account (if you have both). So, it is then a very simple matter to flip back-and-forth between profiles and also between the two accounts. Here is a quick video of the use of the Profile folders process that I found on the web:
