Hi all,
I'm new to FOREX, having spent the last couple of months learning about spread betting. FOREX is something I'm taking an interest in now, and I've enjoyed reading your forum, so thanks.
One question though, similar to the question I had when I first started spread betting, which was, what is the point of the stock market, why do we need it?
So, why do we have FOREX? I understand how traders can profit from it, similar to how traders can profit from stocks. But why was FOREX even born? Is it just a game or does it serve some purpose in relation to a countries economy, or a banks stability etc?
Maybe a better question would be, what would happen if we didn't have FOREX?
Please excuse me if I've missed the answer to this in the sticky's.
Thanks.
