I alawalys interested in options as wel, but to my understanding they don't require a minimum capital to start for cash account, but there is $2000 required to use/keep a margin account. And I'm not sure about the patter day trading rule where you need to keep 25k in order to day trade like stocks.
$2000 for my is too big atm . The good thing about forex is you can enter with any amount you want.
There is no good way to learn them as well. Most demo/paper money accounts have delayed data (20 min) which is useless, that's a significant drawback otherwise i'd be demo trading options. I only know the big brokers that offer options like TD Ameritrade, OptionsExprss, OptionsHouse,Trademonster, etrade etc...
