Hi FTI,
Very glad to see your posts.
This is my first reply but I have been reading this for many weeks now. Very interesting thread you have going here and i am amazed by your passion to keep it going for so long. Also wish you best of health.
I work at a tier1 bank but in electronic trading side of the business. basically i design algorithms that stream live prices to all our customers - variety of customers - corporates, retail brokers, pass through aggregation venue like currenex etc. As you know the market structure has changed a lot in last 10 years. The % of volume now going through electronic channel is much more than voice trades.
one interesting article i wanted to highlight was
http://www.euromoney.com/Article/326...le-future.html
now my question, do you think all this transformation must have changed the way prices move now and made it difficult to know real dynamics behind price move. The same thing happened in equities world when most trading went to algo orders (like vwap etc) instead of large block trades done my wallstreet.
At a high level it feels, trading from charts by looking at price action must have become difficult now (since algos break the orders into many small orders that disperse the effect). Wanted to get your view on this based on your experience and your recent trading.
Thank you and have a great day.
