Very impressive research you found ! So certainly 1H and above TF show 95% + correlation
between tick volume and actual (total traded) volume for major pairs.
Two questions then:
1. The study above uses eSignal tick volume, if I read correctly. How about the average
broker tick volume, since from what I understand, these tick volumes are from the broker servers
only, and not some aggregation, as perhaps on eSignal platform? Of course MT4 brokers can carry
very large to very little customer trades.
2. "It is this relationship that led to the development of
the Marney Volume Indicator™ (MVI) and Marney
Range Indicator (MRI), first published in FX
Trader Magazine ( July-September 2010 edition).
We have found the indicators very useful additions
to our own proprietary trading."
Do you know of any such indis on MT4, or something close?
Is the SonicR PVA indi a good approximation?
