In this method, therefore it does not matter how much longer you have to go in the period ("bar"), as you are solely reacting to the progress of the line in addition to the proper alignment / slope of the Ma's; the idea being getting the earliest entry to scalp what is there in 2-3 periods. (D1 may swing longer)
The exception, which I haven't traded, as I said, would be the D1 TF, in which obviously one would use a GMT or NY close.
It is just a method to get a good scalp entry, if it doubles back on the ALMA you kill it and look for another opportunity. The idea is not to worry about candle formations, wicks, etc.
