DislikedHi Simon,
Great question! I needed a broker that offered "Netting" of positions. Alpari also had a smaller spread on a exotic currency pair that I liked trading. Keep in mind i'm not saying that Fxdd was perfect. I had other issues with them. But they were great and honest on honoring my trades. I have also been spoiled with brokers in my years of trading, and didn't think that any broker would use these tactics. I'm coming to realize that out of the many variables that we have to choose from with brokers is you also have to way in their integortity...Ignored
Thanks for your response. I agree with you; I feel that any lack of immediate response/action on the trade desk will always be a negative, however, is this the case across the board with Alpari, meaning, if one had initiated a trade for example and then lost Internet connection and wished to telephone the trade desk to close all open positions would they tell us to write them an email or would they close all open positions immediately?
I think you're absolutely right, choosing a broker is a major minefield that we've all got to walk. The thing that makes me shiver whenever I hear mention of FXDD is this http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-...fxdd-case.html
There's a trader who I have a lot of respect for who recently said that he's constantly moving his accounts around and testing/monitoring one broker against the other. It sounds very tiring but I have to say I'm resigned to the idea of this being an unavoidable element that we factor into our business plan.
All the best,
Simon
