I would use MT4 for charting, but I definitely would not use it as a platform for entering trades. Do a bit of research and you'll see terrible slippage issues (orders not getting filled, fgetting filled at a bad price etc). In terms of a visual charting tool it's great, but no more. I can highly recommend Oanda-decent spreads and good order entry, hardly any slippage 9note I do not trade big news items-you want slippage and you'll get it round these times). Like most fx, nothing is ever perfect, you can't seem to find an all round perfect solution!
So my best bet would be park a bit of cash with an MT4 broking acct just to get the package (not too much-they do go bust sometimnes,), then use Oanda. Note that prices can be a bit different between brokers, but usually not too much. Just my opinion-take it or leave it! Good luck...
