DislikedMr Pip you are certainly right on much that you say, and wiser than most of us. But if you just look at the 60m chartof the last 4 hrs, the price is disgusting! This to me is the kind of market where the house gets both sides. No or few winners. How can you have a big winner when you have a 22 pip range between 4 candles on the busiest time of the day? I say if this morning repeated itself for 3 months. we would lose 75% of all speculators. It not only makes things harder, but it takes all the joy out of trading. We are traders, speculators, if we...Ignored
Silat50,
Thank you for your comments they are well received and agree with you 100% if you trade off of the 60 min and look at the 4H the outlook is really grim. This time of year only offers volume depleted markets and tight ranges. I will also state that tight ranges are easily traded on lower timeframes. Someone once told me that ranging markets on higher timeframes equals trending market on lower timeframes.
I’m not saying we should all trade lower timeframes or that it’s the only way to go but in looking at the range should give you the appropriate timeframe to trade such a range. If this morning repeated itself for the next three months and the trader insisted to trade such a tight range on a 60 min chart than yes you will certainly lose quite a bit of traders. Take a step back look at the range see what is reasonable. We need to adjust to what the market is offering. We cannot control what the market is doing but we can control how we react to what the market is doing.
I’m glad you brought up to term “noise”, in my most sincere and humble opinion there is no such thing. Let’s say you are in Google Earth and you are looking at your home town from space. You zoom in a bit and see the country first (daily chart). You then zoom in some more and see more detail like land marks (4H). You continue to zoom in and start to see the highways (60 min). You zoom in more and now you are able to see the streets. You get the point. Is this noise or a detailed view of the same information? How would it be easier for you to navigate through a city (market) with a detailed street map (lower timeframe)? Or a highway map (higher timeframe)? Take a look at the chart I posted earlier is there anything random about its price movement? Was there anything you would consider as noise? I was able to successfully trade that very precisely.
We must adapt to the conditions because if we don’t the market will crush us. We are not in conditions that allow us to trade 60 Min successfully, too much work not enough reward.
Regards,
Mr. Pip
