I've spent a few hours now searching for a very simple EA that will do one thing and do it well.
I need it to automatically modify market orders placed by an outside EA and add in a stop loss X-number of pips away from the entry price. That's it.
I need this because my trade manager runs in "stealth" mode and thus executed pending orders as market orders....it doesn't drop them onto the broker's servers as true pending orders. This creates a situation where pending orders are triggered as market orders and then have no associated stop loss. Sure, the "stealth" stop is there with the trade manager watching the price to automatically close the order if it passes beyond the stop loss price....but what happens if my VPS goes down and there is no "hard" stop sitting on my brokers server? You see the issue.
Most EAs I've found are trade managers that start playing games with Trailing stops and such. I found two others which, when I tested them, simply did nothing when orders were entered on the demo account. I did check the "allow live trading" box too.
Anyone know of an EA or script that does this simple task reliably?
