DislikedIt is not uncommon for traders to focus in on one type of analysis - be it fundamental or technical. And if one is just starting out, this is a logical and practical approach. However, using a one-dimensional approach is often not adequate in the long-run. Markets are too deep and complex for just one analysis tool. Granted, no approach will ever mitigate the unknowns, but if you can examine the market from many different angles, it can certainly increase your odds of identifying better quality/higher probability trades.

The IPA approach seems reasonable, i'm always on the lookout for tools to clarify my perception of the markets. I've done some research on InterMarket Analysis and i confess it leaves me cold... can you provide a simple rules based framework to approach InterMarket Analysis? I'd really appreciate your guidance.

DislikedMy apologies for the delayed response - our approach to InterMarket Analysis is pretty straightforward - we are simply determining what asset classes are driving/being driven by FX. Think of it as simply an overlay or correlation between asset classes. The reason we do this is simple: it largely avoids the number one 'complaint' people have about Elliott Wave - ambiguity. A wave count in isolation can easily consist of multiple interpretations. However, when you develop the wave count in the context of the related asset classes it makes the...Ignored
