I have stopped worrying about the trend and trying to follow it if it happens great if it does not then so be it. For me its all about managing your open trade(s) and bringing them to a profitable conclusion. I do not trade with SL's and will therefore hedge my trades if they are working against me until I see PA respecting a S or R, then I will close my hedge and open another trade in the direction of my losing trade, if this turns out to be fake I will hedge again and sooner or later it will start to go in my direction long enough...Ignored
DislikedThanks for your kind words!
Up to last month, I have been trading divergence on very small time-frames = M30 as main trend and M1 to spot the divergence, aligning M1 and M5 triggers for the entry, which can be good for 10-20 pips if in sync with the trend on higher timeframes (Daily or H4, it depends). Sometimes I have forgotten to check the HTF, and do so when trade goes against my direction. If I see the direction is good, I average it down at a given distance, up to 5 total trades, in a geometrical increase. All of them with the same position...Ignored
DislikedI do trade with negative swaps because the total profit is always more than the swaps, but the Aussie is very costly and when I look at my monthly statement and see $xx,xxx going to my broker I always feel like I am working for them.Ignored
QuoteDislikedBecause of the peg AUDCHF & EUDAUD make an excellent hedging combination for USA traders or brokers that do not allow it.
QuoteDislikedYour divergence trading on smaller TF's sounds interesting, I do this in combination with Harmonic patterns, but I do prefer to trade divergence on H1 and above.
QuoteDislikedI never take a loss, I always add to my account, I may have losing trades within a basket of trades but I will only close the basket if I am in profit overall. This might sound foolish to some traders, but each to their own, I trade full time and therefore have plenty of time to manage my trades and will only close them when I am ready, not because the sharks have hunted my SL or my broker has widened the spread during market volatility.
QuoteDislikedAll the best with your trading

DislikedJust would like to add i'm still a newbie & have been trying forex for 3 years now & was always trading off 4H, 1H & M15. Started off with Demo for 1 year & then came onto real account & since then have been loosing money.
Didn't wanted to give up tho, so trained myself (to hv patience) for 1D & 4H TF since this week & this is the first week so far in 2 years where my account is BreakEven (I even recouped losses of $50). Yes I trade micro lots of $.02!! It just took me time to realize im not a scalper & now I understand much more clearly that...Ignored
QuoteDislikedIf you could make a living picking up pennies, one after the other, forty hours a week, you would make $37,440 a year, assuming two seconds to pick up each penny. Some people, like my friend, would say that picking up a penny is not worth your time if you make more than $37,400 annually. I say that, even if I made $500,000, picking up that penny would be worthwhile because I would then have made $500,000.01.
