There is a fourth and final reason why QE is not in the cards. QE is a policy through which the Fed prints money to buy Treasury or Agency debt from the banks. The problem with this is that these bonds are the senior most assets that the banks use to backstop their trading portfolios.
In the case of the TBTFs, these banks only have $7 trillion in assets back-stopping over $200 trillion in derivative trades. The last thing these banks want is to swap...Ignored

1. QE (Quatatative Easing) is where the central bank takes on risk and dumps currency (money supply / liquidity) directly in the market

I started a new thread 5 minutes ago.
It is called EurAnalysis Kindergarten.
As this thread has grown both in popularity and in the number of active posters, I feel that this is a solution we should at least try.

DislikedGood idea, but are you prepared to manage both educational and trading thread? I mean, if informations in educational thread are inaccurate, or if someone spams the thread, so you can not find educational info you are looking for, it is useless. If anyone wants to post anything educational, that is where you should post it and then just post a link to it in this thread. This ensures that the bulk of the content in this thread is related to trading and not education.
It is still a thread for all of us to share and learn, but I am starting to see far too...Ignored
DislikedI am not taking on the role of a teacher. I share what I post and I only want to post it once. If I post it there instead of here, then the newbie can go there and search for it. Every once in a while I will create an index to important posts, so spam is not a problem. Also I have limited the new thread so that only posters with 4 or more vouchers can post to it.Ignored
