Dislikedcongrat gofer for collecting some pips today.i never understand demo trading it means nothing to me,trade happen when emotions attach to itIgnored
DislikedVery well....
That's what we call good money management.
I took 50 pips and closed all.
I am still learning to write my own scripts for MetaTrader4 and I want my program to take automatically partial profits accordingly to daily breakeven level.
But this isn't easy... still prefer to do it manually on my Excel spreadsheet.:nerd:

Dislikedjust a heads up on my current favourite way to short the euro: could be nice time for some good R/R shorts accumulation on EURTRY. H4 and D1 both stoch crossing down from overbought, has bounced off a big fib, and long-term very good swap. if closes below 2100 will be bearish engulfing.Ignored
DislikedThanks Doc,
Demo is a confidence builder for conviction and trade plan without emotional attachment to money. However, with demo account exaggerated money management is not a problem. My real account has much more money in account, but my money management is quite a bit more conservative as I want to be trading a long time, and eventually live only by trading.
Also, demo trading can be used to help a trader learn to be emotionally detached from pulling the trade trigger, test out strategies, and learn the market without the consequence of capital...Ignored
Dislikedthe pattern is much the same as e/u,why do u want to give more commission to ur broker, when can achieve just the same with less commision on e/u and i want to give as less comm as possible to my damn broker for just putting the soft ware in placeIgnored
Dislikedbecause if you get established on the downward trend not only does your position grow but the swap accumulated far outweighs the spread paid. It's investing for the medium-long term rather than day-trading parameters.Ignored
DislikedAll kiwi shorts closed
Partial close on all aussie shorts
USD/JPY short triggered @ 79.53
Partial close on eur/usd shorts
A couple still underwater.
usd/cad underwater, but will hold based on previous reasons posted.
It was a good week there tater!

DislikedHi ST - I thought you'd like my post......if you then add the 02:00 - 03:00 EST period, I'd say that > 75% of the time, you would cover > 75% of the day's move, so for 2 hours work a day the alert, experienced trader should be able to make a rather nice income and still have plenty of time to enjoy life.....speaking of which, it's a Friday and the sun is already "over the yard arm" - in Helsinki, but what's that amongst friends - so I'm finished for the week and wish everyone an enjoyable and relaxing weekend......
I guess ST, you've also...Ignored
DislikedMy analysis has been a bit crap the last 2 weeks, but here is my last attempt for this week:
From a technical perspective I expect a break to the upside, from a funnymental perspective I see a break to the downside. I'll play the technicals, looking for a long either today or on monday for a break to the north. If the support there doesn't hold I will find a short from the broken trendline.

DislikedMy U/J sell limit triggered @ 79.50 as well. Good trading Gofer.Ignored
DislikedHi Swiss,
Just waking up...not much action since I went to sleep but still well in the green!
Quick question: Do you mind me asking what parameters you have set for your U/J position?
As you know I have a few A/J positions opened so if the U/J will come down I will be doing extremely well with those trades. Just trying to get inside the mind of some of the other veteran traders here.Ignored
DislikedI am wondering if anybody could help me out with this. I've drawn a Trend line and wanted to know from a technical perspective when it is safe to say that the trend line is broken?
Also, is my trend line drawn correctly? I guess that should be the first question...
I know not everything is "black & white" when it comes to trading but looking for some input.
*First chart is the D1 chart, second chart is the H4 chart for a closer view.
Thanks!Ignored

DislikedHalkins. There is already an EA that can do that. It's called the THV CaveManager. It can handle TP by batch & percentage, as well as TP by fib. levels. Check it out.Ignored
DislikedThank You so much SwissT.
I will check this out for sure.
Nevertheless the ability to create my own scripts is priceless, as only imagination is the limit.
Not only you can create your own scripts, but also change, adjust and work on existing ones from internet.
Also, it makes me lot o fun
Once I created software playing itself roulette in internet casino, doing pretty fine until they kicked me out.
But it was loads of fun with that
