Dear JR97, I'm getting into Gann and really want to get it right. On your page of your blog (http://4xcycletrader.blogspot.com/20...struction.html), you explain how to setup a gann grid.
I have three questions about that (those questions are open for anyone who has the answers, thanks a lot for your help) :
1- In the formula, you say "The key component here is the .25. I want 45°. 45° is 1/8 of the circle or .25. 180° would be 1, 360° = 2, etc."
Why do you use a 200% scale (45 is 2x12.5%=0.25 of 360) and not a 100% scale (45 would be 12.5%=0.125 of 360) for the calculation.
BTW, where does this formula comes from ? Can someone explain me the meaning ? Thanks.
2- When I square time, do I have to count the first bar as 1, so bar n° 46 would have a line on it, or do I have to count the first bar as 0, so next bar to have a line is 45th ? Thanks. Your help is much appreciated.
3- I have read somewhere that pertinent percent levels of the circle (which are used in zodiacs) are 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, 270, 300, 330 and 360. So why Gann tools use multiples of 45 instead of 30 ? I guess it is because of 45 angles, but are 30° levels also pertinent or are they just used in astrology to divide the circle ? Thanks.
