DislikedI've gone ahead anyway. Version 1.15 now supports plotting of Heikin Ashi candles. This is the best that I can do, given the 8 buffer limitation.

DislikedHi David good work,
Just wonder that this indicator support on offline chart?
If possible to develop it?
I also facing this problem when I'm applying the template into different chart. The chart will have the redundant text object of the template that I'm copied. Could this issues solve?
ThanksIgnored
DislikedYou can attach the indy to an offline chart, but the Recent Candles won't update, if the chart is not updating itself in real time. The indy will display only standard chart timeframes (M1, M5, etc).
It's best not to save templates that include this indy. The problem seems to be that MT4 gets confused between the chart currency pair, and the pair(s) specified in the indy's CurrencyPair parameter.
I don't plan on making any further modifications to this indy. I'm too busy with other work at the moment.Ignored
DislikedPlease why not put this instruction "if using vista / win 7 MOVE MT4 OUT OF THE PROGRAM FILES DIRECTORY!!!" in post 1 in addition to the reference to the posts here since I believe is simple enough than trying to go through the posts individually to discover the simple instruction/solution.
Thanks for a great tool.Ignored
Dislikedmy problem is that it cant show charts that have more than 6 alphabet as its nameIgnored
DislikedSorry, I can't reproduce your problem. Screenshot shows br0ker with > 6 characters in currency symbol, and the indy works fine. I don't know how your br0ker's symbols operate.
If you're running Win7 or Vista, please see the notes in post #1. I run WinXP exclusively, I can't troubleshoot Win7 or Vista problems. Many of the indys that I wrote don't work on Win7 or Vista platforms, yet they work just fine on WinXP. That is one reason why the indy is offered on a take-it-or-leave-it basis. I've spent many frustrating hours trying to find non-existent...Ignored
DislikedHanover, here is the indy. Actually it works but I do not know how place it at the bottom of the chart horizontally in a separate window, like of yours in the first page of this thread.Ignored
DislikedAttach the indy multiple times, specifying a different Currency Pair for each instance. It works for me; I'm not sure if it will work on Windows 7.Ignored
Dislikedthis is a lot better positioning.
ps. i want to add daily mini chart as well, what should i do?Ignored
DislikedHello David, i want to make a humble request. Can u modify dis indicator so the indicator does not move with the main window? I hav had situations where i wil place a fib or trendlines on de indicator b4 i know it, the recent candles hav left de lines. ThankzIgnored
Dislikedbecause it's just so hard to find all objects on a window and move them one space to the right whenever a new bar starts.
actually, it's terribly simple. some things just are nowhere near as difficult as some would make it sound. a bar count, a for loop, some object window property tests, a new time1 and time2 property setting, a sprinkle of salt and pepper...
must just be a 'win 7' problem.Ignored

no, i'm not touching your code. no it's not just "good theory". i'm sure someone out there is bored enough to work it into your code so that the other guy gets a workable alternative to what he was asking for. or instead, he could just actually open the proper chart like everyone else and plot whatever he wants.
everyone wants to make things so difficult. things that are hard are just things that haven't had the easy way worked-out yet.Ignored
