DislikedJust try a search for what you are naming it then.
Press the Windows start button...enter the name in the search box and see what comes up.
"open charts," was it?Ignored

DislikedCrazy!!! Have never seen this happen before...ever! MT4 is a bucket o'shite and all...but it will generally put Templates in the templates folder, and Profiles in the profiles folder.
I'll look where Markus was suggesting, but have NO idea why it would only be sitting there. Are you on Windows 7?Ignored

DislikedFakking bizarre! Windows 7?
Have heard of MT4 doing funky shiz if it is in the Program Files folder, but never experienced it first hand. May be worth moving the whole folder out of Program Files to see if it helps.
Close it. Drag the entire folder to the Desktop, or into the same folder your new one is in. In fact, you could try saving a profile in your new MT4 and see if it works in that location first. Don't worry about what charts are up or anything...it will just create a folder with the chart info within.
What a fakking nightmare....Ignored
DislikedHi Ken,
do not know if I understand the problem properly,
but
on many systems, the privat data of MT4 like templates, profiles, experts etc. are not stored under C:/programs/MT4 or so, but stored in the
C:/users path like above mentioned
That is a bit curious, because with that you have on your hard drive two similiar looking directorys at two different palcesIgnored
