DislikedInteresting. The situation is, according to my accountant friend, as Pipmutt says, that the Revenue want to know about it if it is your sole source of income. Of course, tax law can change, either for your benefit or not.
And the Revenue can only go back 6 years for checking, so Turveyd's £6k is safe. He was in advertising, self-employed, and he'd just had a refund cheque from...Ignored
DislikedIt's not about proving income to support a mortgage or loan application, it's about the tax man wanting his cut. Your sole/main source of income is subject to tax, spread betting isn't excluded.
Usually it's enough to fill out an online self-assessment and pay a 'token' amount to keep them off your back, but don't expect them to believe you exist on nothing, HMRC ain't that stupid!Ignored

He then specifically targets the adopters of the pseudo language through pms and mail to encourage them to sign up for the weekend webinar which only ever "has a few places left."

DislikedYes we do have to bruise our knees and hearts in order to become proficient, were I take exception is when posters use free to air forums as cheap marketing tools. Tbh all the gurus, course sellers etc should be shouted down and ridiculed and I'd include mentors in my description.
