DislikedNo, the 0.53 value is correct. If you investigate the details of the TMA and TMA Slope indicators and really understand how they compute their values, this will not surprise you all.
The TMA Slope can be incredibly misleading at times, especially during strong trends.Ignored
Dislikedhi AL
i have not changed the version V1-2 code at all
i think some one ( can not remember the name) came here and said we should use different values for different currencies and differet time zones
then I think EasyRyder changed the first indicator posted by Zznbrm and he has made some changes in coding by using the Tick value (tick weight)
If you are sure about the errors , I can turn back the indi what Zznbrm did

DislikedZznbrm,
How do you suggest that we differentiate ranging periods from trending periods? This is absolutely crucial in what we are trying to accomplish with this system. Do you feel there is a way to do it with the slope indi or not? If not, we go back to the drawing board to build an indicator that gives us a slope value based on the angle of centerline which was the original intention, instead of ticks per bar or something like it that we have now.Ignored
DislikedWell indeed ..its always been over 0.5 value all day (as far as I cans see in the graph now) so no shorts allowed today as per rulesIgnored
DislikedThat's really rich... And some people call me arrogant!
The guy has 7 heavy drawdowned trades in one short day (he said, not me), but his MM is great!Ignored
DislikedI get all these PM's, "Hey Carl, your indicator is a piece of crap, it crashes my computer, and it doesn't work!"
Don't send me any more of those PM's please. First off, its not done yet, that is why I post it here so others can evaluate it and see why it doesn't work and why it does work. We need to all work as a team here.
If you don't like it, don't use it. Its really pretty simple.
Anyway, here is version 10.
- slope detection fixed.
- follows the rules 1-3.
- You may now enter high slope and low slope individually (0.5 and...Ignored
DislikedCome on, guys. Stop the finger pointing and pointtless bickering. We are here to solve problems, not create them.Ignored
DislikedActually, for USDCHF, it was below 0.5 until 0900 EST when it went above 0.5 for the first time today and has stayed there for the rest of the day.
This is where the non-repainting version of TmaSlope is so superior because you can see what the values are now, but also see where it has actually been previously.Ignored
DislikedBut several people said they followed the rules when they entered shorts today on UsdChf. I was away, so its difficult for me to say if the UsdChf was under .50 at that time because it changes when it repaints.Ignored
DislikedYes Sabry. I could see that Usd was about to rise. I also said that you could change to a D1 chart and ride the position to the bottom band at 80.5 or so. Are you doing that or did you close at the bottom band of H4?Ignored
Dislikedhi all,
has anyone got a copy of the extreme spike indicator please, as its not in the package on the first page.
many thanks

I think zznbrm is true the results are correct and the same completlyIgnored
DislikedLetīs get back to fixing what went wrong today with the system, that allowed several people to enter shorts on UsdChf when the aim of the rules was to keep them out of a counter trend trade.Ignored
