DislikedAfter the arrow the EA placed an order that got stopped out (correct signal), but some candles after it opens a new PO, wasn't supposed to wait for another arrow?Ignored
DislikedThat is a ENTRY, not a Re-Entry, entry candles has closed from upside down below EMA. We can add a MaxCandleRange filter.Ignored
DislikedMy understanding is that signals stay active until negated, and they don't all have to happen on the same bar. The picture I posted in the Fratelli thread (http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...1&d=1322022053) showed an example of this, and Dean said it was a textbook example.
I'm running the v2 EA on EURUSD. Only changes to OOTB are 24-hr trading and 0.1 lots. In the last few hours I see two cases where I think it should have taken a "delayed" signal like that -- see attached. The first re-entry arrow was...Ignored
DislikedI must have something wrong, or else I completely misunderstand the system. Here's a re-entry arrow in EURUSD, red bars, negative histo. Sure looks like a simple setup to me, but nothing's happening.
Comment section says 24H trading (so I know it should be paying attention), "Most recent Arrow signal: None."
I have EAs activated, smiley face, etc. ??Ignored
DislikedDoes anyone have an EA to manage the open trades? I'm using the "multi purpose trade manager" for the AU % EJ pairs, but I can't use it with EU, because of this rule:
When we see 10 pip profits we move SL to -10 pips.Ignored
DislikedOh -- so the BARS setting says "this arrow signal expires after this many bars" ? So since it didn't hit the PO within a few bars, it canceled the signal?
As far as I know, Peter has no such expiration in his rules. I don't see why you need to do that to avoid taking two signals, but obviously you know the code a whole lot better than I do! I would have assumed you could just set a flag saying "down signal seen (arrow or EMA cross), all conditions met, PO price set at X" and wait for it to hit it. If you later got another arrow or EMA cross...Ignored

DislikedThanks Dragos!!
Oooh, that's really tempting the trading/coding gods...
I can't tell from your post or update notes -- do we just update the EA, or do we need the full set? As far as I can tell only SuperTrendmod is required by your EA.
BTW I just realized I don't have SuperTrendmod on my chart -- and I see your EA calls it with iCustom. That's probably why I wasn't seeing any trades.
FWIW I personally prefer to import those functions into my EA so it doesn't rely on non-obvious chart setups.
