DislikedIt's one of my subscribed threads now, i wish you the best, just don't give up when markets beat you upIgnored
Dislikedim 26 years old and have a 3 half year old little boy.
I shown him one of my Forex charts the other day and simply asked him, "what do you think"
he replied with
"up down up down up down, i like it"
Hes showing potential.Ignored
DislikedMy live account dwindled from a nice $400, to a mere measly $1.96. This thread is to explain how important discipline, emotional intelligence, and consistency is. I won big because i was able to be discipline once in a lifetime, and i wanna hit that road again. There's always a detour to a lost road right? Going back on demo to repair mistakes, become a proficient trader. Better than the one so far.Ignored
DislikedGood luck! I hope you'll have enough ambition and persistence to pull it off.
I can't imagine myself trading Forex when I was 14. It would had been a disaster.Ignored
DislikedNot much to share yet.
I am at the beginning of the road myself. I try to learn as much as I can and I'm figuring out my trading style. For now I think I already now I am a PA trader and strictly technical trader (each time I tried to trade based on fundamentals it only got me into trouble).
I love to keep up with the cornucopia of trading systems, methods and strategies that people share here on the FF. I regard trying them out and understanding how they work a great education and fun at that.
Right now I am following this thread by Razorman:

DislikedGoldman! It's great to know you're contributing to this thread. Trust me, the market is not to blame. It's my emotional intelligence that was in checkk. Oh god, if i become a pro trader some day, this will be one of my reminiscing memories as a young trader
Good luck to you Goldman,
if you have any good setups or ideas, please feel free to post them here.
Any pairs are welcome, any style as well.

DislikedI recomend swing trading for you because first of all it is easier then scalping and also it teaches patience. Many beginners try to be in every trade, they rush around and then they end up with the margin call.
I use GMMA, if your interested then i share some files with you, they explain the basics of it. But remember, price action is most important than any indicator.Ignored
DislikedI've heard of the Guppy MA, ill be willing to check this out. Goldman, can you please define pa for me. I'm getting mixed signals on what it truly is.
I use support and resistance, and a non-lag MA.
I love swing trading, but entry is key, and usually i miss such opps. Thats why in demo im trying out pending orders.Ignored
DislikedWell done kid for hanging in there.
Just a little lesson. There is nothing you can borrow, beg or steal to make it in this business.
Nobody, and I mean nobody who has a winning strategy/style is ever going to share it on a public forum with some muppets he/she doesn't know from Adam.
Stay away from the strategy/system threads, they are full of rubbish. If any of 'm really had a winning system he would be on the phone to GS/DB/UBS and flog it for a couple of mill, not post it on an anonymous forum like this.
You need to find your own style/strategy....Ignored
DislikedThanks cloggie, i honestly never visit the trading systems threads. I have a solid support and resistance entry exit strategy with pp's. I just need a few more indicators or something that gives me more confidence and more conviction when i open a trade. Sometimes fear stops you from gaining, and sometimes greed keeps you from gaining.
Thanks for the warning,
All the best for your trades.Ignored
DislikedYou were profitable on demo, you failed live. There is a lot you need to learn about yourself before you are ready to go back live again. Don't go looking for indies to make up for your own shortcomings and failures.
Go back over each and every trade you made in your live account and see if you can pin it down. Start a trading journal from now on and write down as much as you can about your trades, you can then look back over them in the weekends and figure out where you went wrong.
Indies are not the answer.Ignored

DislikedThose are wise words, there is no such thing as 100% winning strategie/systems. Everyone must find their own way what is suitable and works for them.
I disagree with one thing, don't stay away from the strategy/system threads, yes, most of them are BS but there is still something that you can learn and mix with your own style. Only you can work yourself up by testing different styles etc.Ignored
