Dislikedquick question. Does the unemployment percent that is released use the people who have maxed out the amount of checks they receive and no longer can file for unemployment. Someone told me no and thats why the percentage looks good. Just want to hear anyone's opinion on it.Ignored

DislikedVery good info but you can see it the other way, if QE hadn't occured would their have been another banking crisis, mass home evictions and mass unemployment and hence negative growth? The answer is yes. So while QE hasn't created growth is HAS prevented a deep recession?Ignored
DislikedTo my understanding, the U3 numbers does include people who have actively looked for work in the past 4 weeks. It does not count discouraged workers which I believe many of the long term unemployed whose benefits have run out fall in to.
I think a better measure is U6. Last I heard it is around 16%.Ignored
