Fix IE and you'll get the help panel. You'll also notice that if you save a chart, it will try to open the chart in IE but the window will be completely blank.

DislikedDoesn't look like we get a functioning version of internet explorer (or if we do, it doesn't work out of the box with the setup we have done in this thread.)

DislikedHi Kennard,
I now run Snow Leopard on a new MacBook and have installed MT4 following instructions here. I've also downloaded Crossover and tried MT4 there.
In both cases I am unable to access MT4's 'Help' facility, etc. Are you able to manage it with your installation, please?Ignored
DislikedHi,
I tried to open it today for the first time as I didnt need it before.
Everything can be opened except "help topics". Actualy, it can be opened too but when I try to open other links like "getting started" etc its not working.
Hope this helps to answer your question.Ignored
DislikedThanks, Kennard. Was wondering what you'd find.
Apart from that, it seems to be working but the main problem I have at present is I can't see how to download and install pre-written EAs.
If you could please point me in the right direction it would be appreciated, thanks.Ignored

DislikedI run mt4 via wine/winebottler on my macbook pro with an external monitor.

QuoteDislikedWhen your machine opens up a window on the invisible monitor, make sure that it's still selected. Now you can use the alt+space bar shortcut to bring up a positioning menu. Even though the window is on the invisible screen, the positioning window should pop up on the edge of your current display. Select the 'Move' option. At this point it is very *important* to use your keyboard arrows to move the window; the mouse won't work. But once you lock on to the window (by...
DislikedDid anyone find a solution to the issue of the debugger error message - "a debugger has been found running on your system" - when using wine bottler? I'm really not interested in buying cross over just to get mt4 running native when I can use a virtual machine. It's really just a convenience factor.
ThanksIgnored
Disliked1) Go to your utilities folder (/applications/utilities) and check that X11.app is present, if not install this first using the Mac os install discs that came with your mac
2) Go to software update and check your mac is fully up to date.
3) Go to: http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/ and download wine bottler.
4) Open the downloaded disc image and drag Wine.app and WineBottler.app to your applications folder.
5) run Wine.app, go to Preferences>Check for updates, install updates and relaunch.
