DislikedHi Doc,
Do you ever get the "Error 130 Invalid Stops"?
I get it no matter which broker I use and it means I can't test properly.
I'm using the latest version OOTB with ChaserL set to true.Ignored

DislikedHi Steve and co, on the 'New Old Beast' and even some of the 'Original Old Beast'...Ignored
QuoteDislikedAnother question whilst I'm here, and it's about the 'Stealth' aspect of 'Beastie' that I am still running without Tt's. It is running great, it obviously doesn't place any stop orders thanks to the 'Stealth' aspect but I was wondering if the BE profit could be hidden from the broker when in recovery but still show the BE line on our screens ? Wishful thinking I suppose but it would be nice to keep as much hidden as possible.
Please don't shoot if I'm talking crap.
DislikedHi Steve,
If I may, I'd like to suggest using version numbers to keep track of revisions made to the various EAs in the future. Evidently, it is becoming increasingly confusing to determine which version of the EA is being referenced in the recent posts.
It is a lot easier to keep track of "The Beast 3.5" as opposed to "New Old Beast" - What an oxymoron (no offense to Rascacio).
And perhaps keep all versions zipped along with a revision history in post 1...Ignored
DislikedNot entirely up with my way of thinking, are you?
OK, put yourself in my shoes.
You code the occasional ea.
From time to time.
i.e. about twice a day sometimes.
The ea's need revisions. Several a day.
You save the revisions with different version numbers.
How quickly does your hard drive run out of space?
Then try this. You have an ea. You have to upload V45 because some demented dipstick asked for a minor revision you were stupid enough to agree to make. When uploading to post 1 (quite a faff, I can tell you - keeping...Ignored
DislikedHi everyone,
I've been doing alot of backtesting of TOB and TOBTL going back a few years and as much as I try different settings, certain pairs always seem to blow an account or give massive drawdowns, and thats with .01 lots and a $3000 balance. I could just not trade these pairs but to me it's important to know what could have been done to minimise the damage if I were trading them.
So those of you who have been trading the beast live, at what point do you simply take a loss and move on, or alternatively hedge the trades? i.e. how...Ignored
DislikedMy back testing from 1.1.2008-31.1.2011 showed that pairs such as EURJPY, GBPCHF and GBPJPY had drawdowns from 90%-100% of the account if no action was taken to bail at some point. GBPUSD was 70% and EURCAD, AUDUSD and USDCAD somewhere around 40%. Obviously you would never let these situations get even close to doing that to your real account, but I'm not sure what the best strategy is to deal with big drawdowns. Hence my question to see how others manage it.

DislikedAt the mo, TOB only re-draws sixths at the start of each new H1 candle. This can easily cause a pending to be deleted and not replaced; I leave you to work out how as it will help you understand the ea. I have made about 40 pips today by trading manually when this happens.I will do something about this some time.
I might code this some time. Not yet.

DislikedIt is not difficult to make your own version system.
Just add the date onto each download and you create your own history. If you want to see the differences between any two versions, use something like WinMerge which is free - there are others.Ignored
