One feature that is new and not found in mptm is the trailing stop based on a percentage of the size of the Square. This is a feature the Brian requested. To use it, scroll down the inputs to the trailing stop section:
- set TrailingStop to true
- set UsePercentageOfSquare to true
- set SquarePercentToUse to your percentage of the square to use. The default is pure blind guesswork.
Leave the other trailing stop inputs alone unless you are familiar with mptm.
Brian, I know that you have not used ea's much in the past. Are you familiar with editing inputs in the source code? Being able to do this makes life so much easier; you save an update to your Expert's folder, load it into the code editor, quickly edit the inputs you need to change each time and re-compile. Hey presto; all the instances of the EA running on your charts are updated with both the new features that triggered the update, and your choice of input values.
If you have not learned to edit yet, then go to my mptm and download the 'How to edit a script code' pdf; what you learn from that applies to EA's and scripts as well. An hour invested now will save hours in the future; there are going to be a lot of updates.
Also, feel free to carpet bomb anyone who asks moronic questions of you in this thread. I will deal with the most recent, but do feel free to weigh in as well.
Cheers
